Some Thoughts From Proverbs 3

Proverbs 3:2

² for length of days and years of life
    and peace they will add to you.

"Peace they will add to you”, cf Phil 4:7, 9; Romans 5:l.

The legacy of peace which is given to Christians through faith in Christ is often forgotten.

In Romans 5:l the benefit of justification is said to be "peace with God”.

 In II Cor. 5 the Christian ministry is said to be one of Reconciliation of man and God. We should then understand that establishing, encouraging, and enjoying this peace is one of the primary purposes of the Church.

 The writer of Proverbs points us to the Law and the Testimony as necessary to peace is the ongoing privilege of the Believer.
